Community Connection with Art

Access to Linocut can transform communities! For information on upcoming workshops, please stay up to date on my Instagram page.

Contact me if you are interested in printmaking workshops that center Indigenous ways of knowing, relationships, reciprocity, and joy.

Each workshop invites participants of all ages to slow down, to listen deeply, and to create art in community.

I have hosted workshops organizations, museums, libraries, galleries, schools, community centers, community spaces, bookstores, and even during board retreats for adults and leadership. I am happy to create a unique offering to meet your specific need!

Exploring Relationship to Land through Printmaking:

Collaborate with IndigiQueer artist Eileen Jimenez (Ñätho) to create artwork that reflects our experiences and relationships with Land, to joy, to resilience, to ourselves, and to our communities. During this workshop we will explore printmaking from pre-carved blocks, and watercolor to co-create art. During our time together we will also connect with each other, and reflect on what it means to coalition build and center our work in community and through art.

En Nuestras Manos: Storytelling through Ink

Our hands’ gift to us is the ability to create art to honor our stories, thoughts, reflections, memories and intentions. IndigiQueer artist Eileen Jimenez (Ñätho) will lead this workshop, where participants will learn to carve a linoleum block with stories, words or images. Final pieces will be pressed onto the cover of a journal for participants to take home.

All supplies included and participants take home the block(s) they carve, prints and their own journal!

(Alternatively, we can also carve and print onto clothes or textile)
